Sycamore Wealth Limited, a newly licensed Portfolio Manager regulated by the Reserve Bank of Malawi, is looking for an experienced and driven professional to join the team as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of building a financial services firm from the ground up. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, driving business growth, and ensuring high-quality wealth management service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

• Lead client acquisition and grow assets under management
• Build relationships with individual and institutional clients
• Promote the firm’s brand and services

Operations Management

• Set up systems, processes, and internal controls
• Oversee daily operations and performance

Wealth Management Oversight

• Supervise portfolio and investment services
• Ensure professional and ethical service delivery

People & Leadership

• Build and manage a strong team
• Promote a culture of professionalism and accountability

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with financial regulations
• Maintain proper records and reporting 

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field
• MBA or postgraduate qualification (added advantage)
• Professional certification (CFA, CIMA, ACCA, ICAM) is an advantage
• Minimum 7 years experience (3 years in senior management)
• Experience in wealth or asset management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Good understanding of Malawi financial regulations
