Job Summary

Beit CURE Children’s Hospital is seeking a Facility Maintenance Coordinator to coordinate daily facility maintenance operations, including repairs and maintenance of buildings, water systems, grounds, furniture, non-medical equipment, and waste management systems to ensure a safe and functional hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement maintenance activities under the guidance of the Facility Manager/Director.

• Assist in planning and execution of construction and renovation projects.

• Support maintenance strategies through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

• Audit work completed by external contractors and ensure quality standards are maintained.

• Prepare documentation for building projects, including bills of quantities, project plans, inspection reports, and handover reports.

• Maintain and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System.

• Train maintenance staff on approved practices and procedures.

• Coordinate maintenance activities with hospital departments.

• Assist in developing maintenance schedules for facilities and non-medical equipment.

• Monitor maintenance supplies, tools, equipment, and ensure proper use of PPE.

• Supervise casual workers involved in internal building projects.

• Report maintenance activities, achievements, and incidents to management.

• Support hands-on maintenance activities involving buildings, water systems, wastewater systems, electrical systems, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

• Maintain equipment manuals and technical documentation.

• Prepare work schedules for maintenance teams.

• Ensure proper storage and management of maintenance tools and assets.

• Be available for emergency maintenance support, including weekends, nights, and holidays when required.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies during all maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ progressive facility maintenance experience.

• Previous supervisory experience required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Building and Construction, or related field.

• Trade school certification in a related field such as electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or HVAC.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Knowledge and experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

• Strong knowledge of building construction, electrical installation, and maintenance.

• Good command of English and at least one local language.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

• Ability to work in a high-risk environment while following safety procedures.

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
