Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute and supervise farm resource allocation and activity plans to support efficient field operations.
• Monitor daily farm activities and implement continuous improvement measures to enhance productivity and ensure adherence to activity standards.
• Supervise all farming activities related to cane production, ensuring operations are carried out according to approved improvement plans and required quality standards.
• Conduct regular field inspections and activity assessments and submit detailed reports to management.
• Maintain accurate daily records of farm operations and capture activity data into the CanePro system.
• Assist management in monitoring labour requirements in line with farm operational plans.
• Implement continuous improvement practices by monitoring performance and suggesting appropriate tools and techniques to achieve high-quality sugarcane production.
• Promote and adhere to Illovo’s procedures, policies, and guidelines including SHERQ, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) requirements.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Agriculture or Irrigation Technology.
• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in sugar cane fields.
• Experience in leading teams and resource allocation.
