ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Nkhoma Relief and Development (NRD), the development arm of CCAP Nkhoma Synod, in partnership with HOPE International Malawi is implementing a Savings Group Ministry in Lilongwe Rural.

Contract: 1 Year, renewable based on performance

ROLE PURPOSE
The Field Coordinator is responsible for leading the Savings Groups Ministry within his/her particular Impact Area or other Impact Area as designated by the Ministry Coordinator. The FCs primary responsibility is providing training, leadership, and oversight to the Church Facilitators s/he oversees. The FC is responsible for ensuring that all Church Facilitators s/he oversees are conducting program activities in compliance with the Operations Manual.
FULL JOB SAMMARY
The Field Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Savings Group Ministry for their church at a local level within his/her particular region. The FCs primary responsibility is providing training, mentoring, data entry in quill and oversight to the Church Facilitators s/he oversees. The FC is responsible for ensuring that all the Church Facilitators s/he oversees are training and supporting savings groups in compliance with HOPE methodology and ensuring effective use of RESTORE: Savings Church Facilitator Guide. Additionally, the Field Coordinator has a role in ensuring that groups data in quill is up to date. Furthermore, S/he manages the relationship with churches involved in the SG Ministry and helps train church leaders who are engaged with the ministry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the Church Partner’s SG Ministry in their area by doing the following:
Mentor and monitor Church Facilitators
Plan and manage monthly mentoring meetings with Church Facilitators
Periodic group visitation – a minimum of three visits per month to evaluate Church Facilitator performance, group health, and church relationship
Assist with quarterly church leader training
Conduct periodic control calls
Collect and submit success stories on a monthly basis
Help orient church leaders to SG Ministry as needed
Collect data using Kobo and enter savings group reports in quill Attend necessary trainings, staff retreats, and monthly meetings
Provide support to Church Facilitators in the areas of troubleshooting, conflict resolution, and church-relations
Monitor quality of Church Facilitator training and support
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Diploma in Community Development or any relevant qualification
Commitment to be trained and mentored for 3 years
A committed Christian with a demonstrated personal faith and integrity in conduct
Proven experience in community mobilization
Demonstrated proficiency in digital data collection tools, particularly Kobo Toolbox
Strong analytical skills with experience in Power BI, including data visualization, dashboard creation, and interpretation of program data for decision-making
Strong commitment to holistic ministry
Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and train individuals and groups effectively
Passionate about empowering church and community members toward sustainable growth
Be a member and be actively involved in the life of their local church
Have respect and endorsement of church leaders
Commensurate level of education for responsibilities
Fluent in English and Chichewa
Basic computer skills and aptitude
