OVERVIEW

Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc is the country's leading producer of raw, refined and specialty sugars; employing more than 9,000 employees. Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc is part of Illovo Sugar Africa Group; a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc (ABF).

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• Valid driving license – Class C1.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and statutory regulations.
• Conduct daily pre-use inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Lift, move, position, and place loads within the crane's rated capacity and approved lifting plans.
• Set up cranes safely, including the correct use of outriggers and site stability assessments.
• Work closely with riggers, signalers, and supervisors to ensure safe lifting operations.
• Complete required operational, inspection, and maintenance records accurately.
• Ensure proper care, cleanliness, and basic maintenance of assigned equipment.
• Immediately report incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and equipment faults.
• Promote and adhere to Illovo's procedures, policies, and guidelines, including without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Follow Safety measures from time to time.
