HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER (HRBP)

Duty Station: Head Office, Blantyre

Reporting to: Head of Human Resources

Role Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a senior, strategic role responsible for driving organisational performance by aligning people strategy with business objectives. The position partners closely with executive leadership and line management to shape, implement, and embed HR strategies that enhance productivity, leadership effectiveness, workforce capability, and long-term organisational sustainability.


The role focuses on strategy execution through people by leading workforce planning, performance management effectiveness, talent and succession pipelines, leadership development, and culture transformation initiatives. The HRBP acts as a trusted advisor to management on organisational design, employee relations risk, change management, and capability building, using data and HR analytics to influence decision-making and business outcomes. While ensuring compliance with labour laws, policies, and governance requirements, the role is fundamentally accountable for driving accountability, engagement, and a high-performance culture that supports the successful delivery of the organisation’s strategic goals.

Requirements

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification HRBP or HR Generalist experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with HR analytics and dashboard capability
  • Strong employee relations, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
