Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Blantyre for a Layer Farm Manager. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of a poultry layer farm, implementing farm management strategies, and ensuring optimal production levels. Responsibilities include supervising farm employees, maintaining livestock health, managing feed and water supply including irrigation, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Layer Farm Manager will also track performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Farm Management and general knowledge of Farms
• Experience with Poultry farming and handling
• Understanding of Agriculture principles and practices
• Experience in Irrigation and water management systems
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work on-site in Blantyre and manage a team effectively
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role is an added advantage
