MPAMBA PRODUCTS MANAGER

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Mpamba Products Manager shall be responsible for the strategic management and growth of the Mamba product portfolio. The role drives product innovation, customer acquisition, usage, retention, and revenue growth across mobile money products and services.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Mpamba products, from concept development and launch to enhancement and retirement.
• Identify and implement product innovations that improve customer value and support financial inclusion.
• Monitor and optimize product performance through analysis of customer behavior, transaction trends, and market insights.
• Define product requirements, business cases, and commercial plans for new and existing mobile money services.
• Drive customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and transaction growth through targeted initiatives and campaigns.
• Collaborate with Technology, Sales, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Customer Experience teams to deliver product enhancements.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and regulatory developments to maintain market leadership.
• Manage product profitability, revenue performance, and achievement of business targets.
• Prepare product performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for management.

Educational and Professional Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Banking, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in Product Management, Digital Financial Services, Fintech, Project Management, or Data Analytics will be an added advantage.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in telecommunications, Mobile financial services, Banking, Fintech, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of mobile data products, digital ecosystems, customer experience, and telecom commercial operations.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Product Management, Mobile Money, Digital Financial Services, or Commercial Management.
• Proven experience in developing, launching, and managing digital financial products and services.
• Strong understanding of mobile money ecosystems, payments, remittances, merchant services, savings, lending, and digital financial services.
• Experience in product lifecycle management, business case development, pricing, and revenue management.
• Experience in customer segmentation, customer journey management, and product performance optimization.
• Commercial Acumen, data analytics and insight generation ability.
• Product lifecycle management, Mobile money and digital financial services knowledge.
