Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and records of work in alignment with the Primary School Curriculum.
• Deliver instruction across core subjects using age-appropriate teaching methods.
• Develop and use teaching aids and learning resources to enhance understanding and engagement, including charts, models, books, and digital tools.
• Create a structured and disciplined classroom environment that fosters respect, focus, and a positive attitude toward learning.
• Assess and monitor learners’ academic progress through classwork, homework, tests, and examinations; maintain accurate records and report outcomes to parents/guardians.
• Support learners with diverse needs, including remedial instruction and inclusive education strategies.
• Promote literacy and numeracy development through interactive reading, writing, and problem-solving activities.
• Encourage critical thinking and creativity through project-based learning, group discussions, and practical exercises.
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding learners’ academic and behavioral development.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school administration to plan and implement school programs and activities.
• Participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, including sports, clubs, and school events.
• Ensure learners maintain proper hygiene and dress code, including wearing clean and appropriate school and sports uniforms.
• Prepare and submit academic and administrative reports in a timely and professional manner.
• Stay updated with curriculum changes and educational policies, and integrate them into teaching practices.
• Uphold professional ethics and Christian values in all interactions with learners, colleagues, and the community.

Requirements

• Must possess a T2 Certificate. A Diploma in Primary Education from an accredited institution will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 4 years teaching experience in a reputable institutions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be honest and passionate about teaching children.
• All applicants must be practicing Christians.
