POSITION: PROGRAMS MANAGER

OVERVIEW
Kindle Orphan Outreach is a local Christian, charitable, non-denominational, non-profit, non-government organization established in Malawi in 2000 and registered as a Trust in 2002.
Kindle is motivated by the desire to bring the light of Christ’s hope to vulnerable communities. Kindle works with vulnerable communities to promote resilience and self-reliance so that they become productive members of society.
Kindle’s strategy lies in four main areas:
- Health
- Education
- Spiritual Impact
- Community Development
These areas overlap and work together.
We are seeking a passionate, qualified, and results-oriented individual to fill the following position:
Programs Manager
Location: Salima – Nanjoka
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the organization’s social enterprise initiatives.
- Develop business strategies to improve sustainability and revenue generation.
- Build partnerships with stakeholders, clients, and investors.
- Oversee budgeting, financial performance, and reporting.
- Identify new market opportunities and growth areas.
- Ensure alignment between enterprise activities and social impact goals.
- Plan, implement, and monitor organizational programs and projects.
- Coordinate program activities and ensure timely delivery of objectives.
- Manage relationships with partners, donors, and community stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, budgets, and work plans.
- Work hand in hand with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer.
- Supervise program staff and consultants where necessary.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Project Management, Development Studies, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development, social enterprise management, or program management.
- Strong leadership, financial management, and communication skills.
- Experience working in community-based or non-profit environments is an added advantage.
- Experience managing farms with diverse agricultural activities and ventures will be highly desirable.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Experience in donor-funded projects is an added advantage.
