Job Description
Under the Save the Children – Balaka District Council Project, we are seeking motivated and committed individuals to fill the position of Project Field Facilitator(s).
The Project Field Facilitator will play a key role in supporting learning, coordinating community-level activities, and linking schools and communities with educational opportunities. The role will be based at the Balaka District Education Office and will work across five education zones to ensure effective implementation of programme activities at community and school level.
The successful candidates will work closely with the Programme Coordinator to mobilise communities, support beneficiaries, strengthen participation of children and youth, and promote child protection and education awareness.
Reporting to: Programme Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and implementation of programme activities at community and school level
- Mobilise and engage community members in programme initiatives
- Provide guidance and support to beneficiaries on programme activities
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and outcomes
- Facilitate community and school meetings, including focus group discussions
- Support organisation of training sessions and workshops for community members
- Identify and address challenges and barriers to programme implementation
- Promote child protection and education awareness in communities
- Maintain regular communication with the project team and support data collection and reporting from the field
- Ensure meaningful participation of children and youth in project activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements
To be successful, you will bring/have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Community Development, Social Work, Education, Project Management, or a related field
- At least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar role or setting
- Strong facilitation, communication, and community engagement skills
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in diverse community settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
