1) SALES AGENT (2) – HEAD OFFICE, BLANTYRE
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Sales Agent will be responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive sales activities and business acquisition. The role focuses on identifying and converting new business opportunities, developing a strong pipeline of client, promoting the company’s general insurance products and achieving the set sales targets. He/she will engage customers, assess their insurance needs, provide suitable solutions and build lasting relationships that support customer retention and portfolio growth. The role plays a critical part in increasing market share, enhancing brand visibility and contributing to the company’s overall sales performance.
Key responsibilities
• Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
• Assist the Marketing Manager in the introduction of new products and promoting them
through regular visits and frequent communication with intermediaries, existing clients and
prospects.
• Supply management with weekly sales and movement report.
• Establishing and maintaining regular contact with current and prospective clients.
• Collating and presenting relevant market intelligence with a view to possibly enhance internal competitive advantages.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications & experience:
• Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Business Studies, Communication,
Insurance or its equivalent those with Bachelor’s degree with have an added advantage.
• 2 -3 years’ work experience working as a sales Agent in insurance or financial industry.
• Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
• Proven work experience as a Sales Representative.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Up-to-date with current trends and developments in the insurance industry.
• Good knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the Reserve Bank of Malawi relevant to
insurance operations.
• Understanding of the KYC principles and regulatory compliance requirement.
• Commitment to ethical conduct and professionalism.
