Are you passionate about climate justice, food sovereignty, sustainable agriculture, and community empowerment?

Are you an emerging youth advocate or a seasoned climate professional?

Are you ready to contribute your expertise to a global network of climate advocates while advancing your career and creating lasting community impact?


Point of Progress, through the Solidarity Exchange for Environment and Development (SEED), is inviting Malawian volunteers and professionals to apply for a transformative 12-month fellowship that promotes cross-cultural collaboration and climate justice action between Malawi and Norway.

About SEED

SEED is a bi-national climate justice exchange programme that connects Malawian and Norwegian youth and professionals through immersive learning, cross-cultural collaboration, and community-driven climate action.

Participants will tackle the root causes of climate change through the lens of climate justice, gender equality, youth empowerment, food sovereignty, and sustainable development.


What we are looking for

SEED Volunteer Participant (2)

Ideal for young professionals and grassroots advocates looking to grow through experience, learning, and local action.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Engage in community-based climate justice and food sovereignty interventions.
  2. Collaborate with youth clubs, civil society actors, and local authorities to promote resilient food systems.
  3. Participate in farm visits, awareness campaigns, and advocacy training.
  4. Co-develop policy briefs, visual content, and stories that highlight community-led solutions.
  5. Influence public discourse and behavior through media engagement and grassroots mobilization.
  6. Strengthen community knowledge and practices in sustainable food production and land stewardship.

Requirements

Eligibility

  • Aged 18 to 30
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Development Studies, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in climate justice, food sovereignty, or environmental advocacy
  • Passionate about climate food systems and grassroots empowerment
  • Must hold a valid passport and commit to the 12-month exchange
