OVERVIEW

Old Mutual Malawi Ltd is seeking to recruit a highly analytical, proactive, and results-oriented Strategy Support Specialist.

Reporting to the Strategy, Data and Digital Executive, the role involves providing strategic analysis, business intelligence, research, and performance insights to support decision-making across the business.

POSITION: STRATEGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Supporting the development and implementation of strategic policies, frameworks, and procedures.
• Conducting horizon scanning and market intelligence activities to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Monitoring and analysing business performance metrics to ensure alignment with strategic and financial objectives.
• Providing strategic advice and insights on business challenges and opportunities.
• Supporting strategic planning processes and the execution of business priorities.
• Preparing and coordinating analytical reports, dashboards, and management insights.
• Conducting strategic analysis using financial, operational, customer, and market data to support decision-making.
• Undertaking economic and market research to inform strategic initiatives.
• Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to identify key business trends and opportunities.
• Supporting the preparation of business cases, feasibility assessments, and strategic projects.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Academic Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in strategic planning, business performance analysis, reporting, research, or business intelligence.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
