Times Capital Finance (TCF) Limited is a subsidiary of The Times Group. CF is a non-deposit taking Microfinance Institution established to provide financial services to low-income individuals and small businesses within Malawi.
The service offering includes the provision of loans and financial literacy with the long-term vision of offering a full bouquet of microfinance products and services.
TCF Ltd is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to till the vacant positions tenable at its Head Office Area 4. Off-Chilambula Road, Lilongwe as detailed below:
BRANCH CREDIT SUPERVISOR
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Branch Credit Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that day-to-day branch credit operations are being conducted efficiently and that there is quality credit portfolio growth in line with approved budgets. He or she will supervise the branch credit personnel to ensure that all creditworthiness analysis, loan booking, loan monitoring and reporting, loan collections, past-due actions and provisions are carried out as per the organisation’s credit policy and also within the industry’s regulatory tramework.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise branch credit operations including credit analysis, loan disbursement, monitoring, collections and reporting
- Ensure compliance with credit policies, risk management standards and regulatory requirements
- Monitor portfolio performance, manage collections and follow up on past-due accounts
- Review and recommend credit applications for approval
- Coach and support branch credit personnel
- Support development and marketing of credit products and digital delivery platforms
- Ensure proper loan documentation, record keeping and audit compliance
- Promote excellent customer service and uphold the institution’s brand
Requirements
Requirements
- Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit risk management within the financial services sector
- Strong credit analysis, portfolio management, communication, and negotiation skills
- Good coaching, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
- High level of professionalism and integrity
