 Job Summary

DAPP Malawi is seeking a creative and dynamic Communication and Multimedia Officer to support the organization’s communication, branding, and visibility efforts. The successful candidate will manage digital platforms, produce multimedia content, and develop communication materials that effectively showcase the organization’s work and impact.

The officer will contribute to social media management, newsletters, articles, and visual storytelling, while producing graphic design, photography, and video content for campaigns, reports, and digital platforms. The position is part of a communications and promotion team of three staff members working collaboratively to strengthen DAPP Malawi’s public engagement and programme visibility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update social media platforms, website, and other digital communication channels.
  • Design and produce communication and promotional materials such as brochures, posters, banners, reports, and newsletters.
  • Develop multimedia content including graphics, photography, videos, and short animations for campaigns and online platforms.
  • Capture and edit photos and videos documenting project activities, success stories, and community impact.
  • Support visual storytelling and documentation of programme activities in the field.
  • Prepare multimedia and graphic materials for print and digital publication.
  • Ensure compliance with DAPP Malawi branding guidelines and donor visibility requirements.
  • Contribute to articles, newsletters, and communication products highlighting programme achievements.
  • Collaborate with programme teams to translate technical information into clear and engaging communication materials.


 Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in communications, multimedia production, or media work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar design tools.
  • Experience managing social media and digital communication platforms.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Knowledge of branding and donor visibility requirements is an added advantage.
  • Basic photography and video editing skills will be an added advantage.
