Alliance One Tobacco (Malawi) Ltd is seeking applications for the position of:

COOK/HOUSEKEEPER

The successful applicant will be reporting to the Management Office Administrator.

Key responsibilities include: –

• Provide appropriate hospitality and customer service to all guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the cottage and work areas.
• Plan daily menus and prepare and serve meals per guests’ requirements
• Monitor and forward restock lists as required
• Report any required maintenance or repairs in a timely manner
• Ensure the cottage is maintained to established security standards for the safety of all guests.
• Oversee cottage junior staff work schedules and ensure all duties are performed to standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience: –

• Must have Malawi School Certificate of Education
• Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Industry
• A minimum of three years’ experience in similar environment.

The Person: –

• Should be a team player
• Should be neat and of sober habit with good interpersonal skills
• Be prepared to work odd hours

The position will be based at Lake Cottage in Mangochi, and a competitive remuneration and commensurate company benefits will be offered.
