Zomba Diocese Health Commission operates under the Social Directorate of the Catholic Diocese of Zomba. Its mission is to advance the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by promoting human life and providing preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services in a holistic manner. This is achieved through participation in collaborative networks and partnerships, aligned with the needs and capacities of the communities, and in accordance with Catholic core values and principles, to ensure the delivery of the high- quality services, the Commission is seeking to recruit motivated and experienced individuals for the following vacant positions at one of its health facilities St. Robert Health Centre (Sitima).

1. Job Title : Head Security Guard

2. Grade : O

3. Department: Administration

4. Reporting Officer : Senior Clerical Officer

5. Duties and Responsibilities

6. Main duties

• Supervising operations of the security guards.
• Reporting security matters to the Senior Clerical Officer or facility in charge.
• Maintenance of security with the hospital.
• Conducting patrols during day and night.
• Ensuring that premises and staff members are protected.
• Searching employees when suspected of stealing.
• Ensuring that security matters are reported accordingly for proper assistance.
• Checking office doors that are properly closed and locked.
• Providing directions to patients or visitors to cubicles or offices for proper assistance.
• Any other duties deem reasonable assigned from time to time.

Qualification

• MSCE
• At least 4 years experience at Grade P
