CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
POSITION 1: INTERN/VOLUNTEER (MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER) (1)
Background
MANET+ was established on 16 April 1997 as a coordinating and facilitating body to promote effective networking amongst associations and support groups of people living with HIV (PLHIV) and their collaborators. It was founded and run by people living with HIV who identified the serious need to harmonize their activities

To promote quality life of People Living with HIV in Malawi through effective coordination of People Living with HIV sector and evidence-based advocacy, capacity building and empowerment initiatives
About the Role
The M&E Officer Intern/Volunteer will support the organization’s M&E unit by managing data, tracking project performance, and assisting in report generation. The M&E Officer Intern will report to Projects Coordinator for ensuring evidence-based decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management: Cleaning, verifying, and entering data into databases or dashboard templates.
- Monitoring Support: Assisting in routine data collection, conducting field visits, and participating in surveys (e.g., baseline or endline assessments).
- Tool Development: Helping design and test data collection tools, questionnaires, and feedback mechanisms
- Reporting: Drafting monthly progress reports, case studies, and stakeholder feedback summaries.
- Documentation: Maintaining organized electronic and physical files for monitoring forms, meeting minutes, and field evidence.
- Learning & Capacity Building: Documenting “lessons learned” and success stories, and assisting in training sessions for field staff or enumerators.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Health or Development Studies.
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (data analysis) and other MS Office tools.
- Familiarity with data tools like KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO, ODK, STATA, or SPSS is an advantage.
Core Competencies:
- High level of attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
POSITION 2: INTERN/VOLUNTEER (RESOURCE MOBILISATION OFFICER) (1)
About the Role
As a Resource Mobilisation Officer, you will play a key role in supporting our efforts to secure funding and build partnerships that sustain and grow our organisation’s impact. This is an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in proposal writing, donor engagement, and strategic communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying funding opportunities from donors, partners, and grant-making institutions
- Support proposal writing, concept notes, and fundraising campaigns
- Help build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners
- Contribute to developing resource mobilisation strategies
- Assist with research and documentation related to funding opportunities
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Public Health, Communications, Public Policy.
Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for drafting proposals and engaging with stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency: Fluency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with tools like social media platforms.
Personal Attributes: Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and a strong commitment to the organization’s mission (e.g., gender equality or human rights).
Core Competencies:
- Strong interest in fundraising, development work, or nonprofit management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, creative, and results-oriented mindset
- Relevant academic background (or currently studying) is an added advantage
