Job Summary
ACADES Malawi is seeking a Communications Manager responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies, managing organisational visibility, producing quality content, and strengthening engagement with stakeholders, partners, donors, and the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ACADES’ communications and visibility strategy to strengthen organisational brand and visibility.
- Produce and manage high-quality content across digital and traditional platforms including websites, social media, newsletters, publications, and multimedia.
- Lead media, donor, partner, and stakeholder communications while ensuring consistent messaging and brand identity.
- Support fundraising and programme teams with communications, branding, and proposal development.
- Monitor communication performance and prepare analytical reports.
- Supervise communications staff, consultants, and service providers.
- Develop creative communication materials that support organisational objectives.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- At least four (4) years’ relevant communications experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience working in an NGO, development, or public sector environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and digital communication skills.
- Creative, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Experience in graphic design and production of visual communication materials is an added advantage.
