OVERVIEW

Chaminade Marianist Secondary School is a private, Catholic secondary school located in Chinkhoko Village, Lilongwe District, Malawi. Guided by the Marianist tradition and Catholic values, the school is committed to providing quality education through academic excellence, discipline, integrity, servant leadership, and the holistic development of every learner.

POSITION: SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS

Applicants must be able to teach any one of the following subject combinations:

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must:

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Education specializing in the relevant teaching subjects, obtained from a recognized and accredited institution.
• Be registered with the Teachers Council of Malawi (TCM) or be eligible for registration before appointment.
• Demonstrate effective teaching methodologies, classroom management, and learner assessment skills.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrate professionalism, honesty, integrity, and high ethical standards.
• Be willing to uphold, promote, and support the Christian ethos, mission, vision, and values of Chaminade Marianist Secondary School.
• Previous teaching experience in a secondary school will be an added advantage.

Interested candidates should submit the following for Teachers:

a) A signed application letter indicating the teaching position and subject combination being applied for.

b) A copy of the Teachers Council of Malawi (TCM) registration certificate or proof of eligibility for registration.

General Requirements (for all positions):

• A detailed and up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV).
• Certified copies of academic and professional certificates.
• A copy of a valid National Identity Card/work permit.
• Names and contact details of three traceable professional referees.

The successful candidate will be required to produce a Police Clearance Certificate before appointment.

POSITION: COOKS

Applicants must:

• Possess a minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• Have proven experience in cooking in a school, hotel, restaurant, hospital, or other institutional catering environment.
• Experience in a boarding school will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrate knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
• Be physically fit and able to work under pressure and meet meal service schedules.
• Be honest, disciplined, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Be able to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Possess a willingness to learn and improve culinary skills.
• Be of high professional integrity and able to maintain confidentiality in matters relating to students and the school.

POSITION: BOARDING MASTER

Applicants must:

• Hold a minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• Have at least three (3) years of experience working in a secondary school.
• Demonstrate the ability to supervise, mentor, and manage students in a boarding environment.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have good organizational, record-keeping and problem-solving skills.
• Be physically and mentally fit to perform boarding supervision duties.
• Have no criminal record and be willing to undergo background and reference checks.
• Be willing to reside on the school campus and be available to respond to student welfare matters outside normal working hours.
• Be of high professional integrity and able to maintain confidentiality in matters relating to students and the school.
