POSITION 1: QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Job Purpose

To manage all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects by preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, evaluating tenders, administering contracts, and ensuring value for money throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

• Prepare project cost estimates and budgets.

• Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings.

• Prepare tender and bidding documents.

• Evaluate contractor and supplier quotations.

• Monitor project costs and cash flow.

• Prepare interim payment certificates.

• Measure completed works.

• Prepare project valuations and final accounts.

• Administer construction contracts.

• Manage project variations and claims.

• Prepare financial reports for management.

• Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors.

• Ensure compliance with contract conditions.

• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying

• Professional certification is an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.

Technical Skills

• Cost estimation, Contract administration, Tender preparation, Cost planning, Quantity take-offs, Project budgeting, Procurement management & financial reporting.

Personal Competencies

  • High integrity , Strong analytical skills ,Excellent communication skills , Attention to detail , Ability to work under pressure, Strong negotiation skills, Team player, Excellent report writing skills

Salary

Negotiable based on qualifications and experience
