OVERVIEW

Caire Macs Limited, a company operating in the macadamia, dairy, poultry, and piggery sectors, invites qualified and experienced contractors to submit quotations for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a drip irrigation system for its macadamia orchard.

The orchard comprises 13.8 hectares and 4,450 macadamia trees, planted at approximately 8 m by 4 m spacing. The water source is a dam situated next to the orchard.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE

To install an efficient and reliable drip irrigation system that ensures optimal water distribution to all trees in the macadamia orchard.

The proposed system should include:

Double drip lines per tree row.
Four drip points around each tree, spaced approximately 1 metre apart.

SCOPE OF WORK

The successful contractor will be responsible for:

Conducting a site assessment and designing the irrigation system.
Supplying all required materials and equipment.
Installing the complete drip irrigation system.
Providing pumping and filtration systems.
Installing mainlines, sub-mainlines, and drip lines.
Installing control valves and automation systems.
Testing and commissioning the completed system.
Training designated personnel on system operation and maintenance.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

The proposed irrigation system must provide:

Uniform water distribution across all trees.
Efficient use of water from the dam.
Durable, agricultural-grade materials and equipment.
Provision for future system expansion.
Filtration and fertigation capability.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Interested contractors must demonstrate:

Proven experience in irrigation system design and installation.
Completion of at least five (5) similar projects.
Availability of qualified technical personnel.

Contractors should submit a complete quotation package containing:

Company profile and relevant experience.
Detailed technical proposal and system design.
Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and technical specifications.
