Job Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Safely transport the Church Moderator in carrying out pastoral duties within and
outside Lilongwe.
Support members of church office, various committees and guilds in carrying
out their activities as approved by management.
Transport the moderator or his family in approved personal errands.
Maintain the cleanliness and operational condition of all church vehicles.
Conduct routine vehicle checks (oil, tires, water), and manage logbooks.
Ensure that the vehicles have valid documentation (Insurance and Certificate
of fitness).
Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations.
Coordinate with the office of the Church Administrative Assistant in undertaking
scheduled transport needs.
Report any vehicle maintenance issues or concerns to the Church
Administrative Assistant promptly.
Exhibit courteous and respectful behaviour towards the Moderator,
Management and all Church members.
Carryout any other duties as instructed by the Church Administrative Assistant
Requirements
Requirements for the Position:
Education: Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE),
Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of professional driving experience, with the
Church, NGO, or reputable organization.
Valid driver’s licence with Class D1
Valid Defensive Driving Certificate
Excellent knowledge of local traffic laws and routes within Malawi
A clean driving records
Should be a committed Christian
Competencies other requirements
Ability to communicate in English
Ability to communicate well with Staff at all levels, Church Committee members, Guilds
members and Church members.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team but also to work using own initiative
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
