Job Description
OVERVIEW
Old Mutual Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for Credit Administrator role. The successful candidate will perform professional accounting work while managing staff loan administration, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process and underwrite staff loan applications in line with approved lending policies.
- Prepare and issue staff loan disbursement schedules.
- Maintain accurate staff loan records within the core banking system.
- Monitor loan repayments and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Support recovery of non-performing loans (NPLs).
- Process insurance claims where applicable.
- Prepare weekly and monthly staff loan reports.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of the staff loan portfolio.
- Respond to staff loan enquiries and provide guidance on loan policies.
- Work closely with Finance, Human Resources, Risk, and Internal Audit teams.
- Ensure compliance with lending policies, financial regulations, and audit requirements.
- Perform other staff loan-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting processes.
- Strong computer literacy and reporting skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, reports, and financial records accurately.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
