Muslim Hands is an international organization whose headquarters is in the UK, aimed at tackling the root causes of poverty and creating a fairer world for everyone. The organization was established in 1993. Currently, Muslim Hands is working in over 50 countries with 30 dedicated country offices including Malawi.

Currently, Muslim Hands Malawi is looking for well-qualified and experienced secondary school teachers. Required secondary school teachers should be those who majored in Sciences, Humanities, and Languages as detailed below.

JOB DETAILS

• Job Title: Secondary Teacher (Various Subject Combinations)
• Department: Education
• Reports To: The Head Teacher
• Location: Chiradzulu, Malawi
• Contract Type: Annual
• Duration: Permanent

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
• Monitor and evaluate students' progress through assessments and reports.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administration to ensure students' holistic development.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Education (Humanities): Majoring in either History, Geography, or Social & Life Skills.
• Degree in Education (Languages): Majoring in either English, Chichewa, or French.
• Degree in Education (Sciences): Majoring in either Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Agriculture, or Biology.
• Proven experience in teaching of at least 2 years.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English and a local language.
• Commitment to Muslim Hands Malawi's values and mission.
