The Lilongwe Institute of Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery (LION) is an autonomous, not-for-profit institution managed by the LION Trust. LION serves as the Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Department of Kamuzu Central Hospital, providing high-quality public and private healthcare services in trauma, orthopaedics, and neurosurgery.

Our mission is to reduce disability and its social and economic impact on individuals, families, and communities across Malawi.
