EKHAYA LUXURY RESORT, a subsidiary of Ekhaya Group of Companies based in Mangochi, is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following vacant position.

1. LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

Key Requirements:

• Must have a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) and a Diploma in Hospitality or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Good understanding of laundry operations, fabric care, stain removal, and garment handling techniques.
• Ability to operate and monitor washing, drying, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours, lift up to 50kgs, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and guest service orientation.

KITCHEN PORTER

Key Requirements:

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards, cleaning procedures, and food safety practices.
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals, detergents, and proper usage in a food service environment.
• Ability to support chefs with basic food preparation.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment, including standing for long periods and handling heavy kitchen equipment.
• Strong sense of cleanliness, teamwork, and willingness to learn and support kitchen operations

ROOM STEWARD

Key Requirements:

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in housekeeping or a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning procedures, and guest service standards.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, detergents, and safe usage practices.
• Ability to handle guest laundry, room amenities, and mini bar replenishment.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to report maintenance issues, lost property, and safety hazards promptly.
• Willingness to follow resort policies, grooming standards, and assigned duties.
