About the Company

Platinum Car Rental is a newly established and fast-growing car rental company with branches in Blantyre and Lilongwe. As we begin operations, we are seeking to recruit a strong, professional, and dedicated team to ensure smooth and efficient business operations across both locations.

Applicants must clearly indicate their preferred duty station: Blantyre or Lilongwe.


Position 1: IT Intern

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ICT support to staff and office systems
  • Install and maintain hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot ICT-related issues
  • Support office databases and digital systems
  • Assist with network and systems maintenance

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply


Position 2: Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities

  • Market company services to individuals and corporate clients
  • Generate new business opportunities
  • Prepare quotations and follow up on customer inquiries
  • Maintain strong customer relationships
  • Meet agreed sales targets and prepare reports

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service will be an added advantage
  • Computer literacy and ability to work under minimal supervision


Position 3: Drivers

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport clients and staff to designated destinations
  • Maintain cleanliness and good condition of assigned vehicles
  • Conduct routine vehicle checks and report faults
  • Maintain trip, fuel, and maintenance records
  • Ensure professionalism and excellent customer service at all times

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
  • Valid and clean Driver's Licence
  • Defensive Driving Certificate will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of Malawi road network
  • Strong integrity and professionalism


Position 4: Office Assistant / Receptionist

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and assist clients professionally
  • Handle bookings, phone calls, emails, and correspondence
  • Maintain office records and filing systems
  • Support day-to-day administrative operations
  • Manage front office duties efficiently

Qualifications and Requirements

  • MSCE plus Certificate or Diploma in Secretarial Studies, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in front office or administrative work
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications


Position 5: Accounts Assistant

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accounting records and financial documents
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and petty cash management
  • Support preparation of financial reports and audits
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • ICAM qualification or progress towards professional qualification will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail


Position 6: Sales and Marketing Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies
  • Manage social media platforms and promotional campaigns
  • Increase brand visibility and customer engagement
  • Coordinate advertising and promotional activities
  • Conduct market research and prepare reports
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong communication and creative skills
  • Experience in digital marketing and social media management
  • Knowledge of graphic design tools will be an added advantage
  • Previous experience in sales and marketing will be an added advantage


Position 7: Administrator

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily office and administrative operations
  • Coordinate branch activities and ensure smooth workflow
  • Supervise support staff and maintain office discipline
  • Assist with basic human resources management including staff records, leave management, and recruitment coordination
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and operational records
  • Manage company documentation and filing systems
  • Coordinate meetings, schedules, and company logistics
  • Assist management with planning and implementation of company policies
  • Monitor office supplies, assets, and procurement processes
  • Handle customer inquiries and support service delivery
  • Ensure company compliance documents are always up to date and properly filed
  • Coordinate renewals and compliance requirements with relevant authorities
  • Maintain records for contracts, permits, insurance, and company registrations
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in administration or office management
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and tender preparation
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in Malawi
  • Basic knowledge of human resources management practices
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in the transport, hospitality, logistics, or car rental industry will be an added advantage
