OVERVIEW

Visions Malawi is looking for a reliable, organized and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our bar and restaurant team based in Lilongwe.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Hospitality, Accounting, Stock Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Previous experience in stock control, hospitality, restaurants, bars or retail is an advantage.
• Good Excel/POS and inventory-system skills.
• Strong numerical, reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• High level of integrity, honesty and accountability.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct daily physical stock counts for bar, kitchen and restaurant stock.
• Reconcile physical stock with POS/system records.
• Monitor stock receipts, issues, transfers, wastage and breakages.
• Track bar and kitchen consumption and investigate variances.
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock reports.
• Monitor stock losses, shortages, overages and unusual movements.
• Conduct regular spot checks and assist with monthly stock takes.
• Ensure proper documentation and control of all stock movements.
• Report significant discrepancies and suspected losses to management.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support effective stock-control procedures.
